Manning Jetmore Smith Whitsett and Maud Abbott Pierce Whitsett, grandparents of George Huse Whitsett. The photo was taken in 1904. They were married in Denver, CO in 1900. Manning's father was Isaac Tolliver Whitsett & mother was Eliza Jetmore. Manning was born in Johnson Co., MO, November 26, 1874. Isaac's father & mother were Isaac E. T. Whitsett & Sarah (Sallie) Shackleford. Both buried at Oak Grove Cemetery in Johnson Co. MO. Both married in Johnson Co. MO.

Walter Whitsett of Alexandria, Virginia in 1985. I corresponded with Walter several times. He was a descendant of James and Nancy (Moore) Whitsett of Rockingham County, N.C.   Walter passed away in 1994.
